In some circles it's not considered a sign of discriminating taste to admit you drink Starbucks coffee. For the most part, we aim to not move in those circles.
We're fans of Starbucks and almost every other coffee shop around; they're a part of the fabric of American life and they've certainly gotten us our caffeine fix on many a trip. We've visited Starbucks everywhere from Narita to Heathrow and from Amman to Amsterdam; we're always happy to see the green mermaid!
One of the things we think of every time we go into a Starbucks is, "Hey, why don't you guys have any paleo food options?" That's slowly starting to change, and we thought it'd be a lot of fun (and profitable) to see if we could get Paleo Treats® into Starbucks.
On the surface, it's a match made in heaven; good coffee and healthy paleo desserts? Heck yeah!
We've tried a number of ways to connect with the Starbucks folks, from your standard phone call to sending up some custom (and awesome) wire art that's a new take on an old Starbucks logo and incorporates Paleo Treats across the top. Funny stuff, a little cute, but in line with our company goals.
We recently received a letter back in regard to our efforts so far. Completely professional and super corporate, it's a great example of how to politely say "No".
Now, if you know us, you know that "No" is like catnip, so we thought we'd share the letter with you, then see if we could let Starbucks know how important it is to get paleo food (in the form of Paleo Treats®) into their stores.
How can you help get great paleo desserts into Starbucks?
Is our collective voice is loud enough for a company as big as Starbucks to listen to? Let's find out!
