Paleo Treats Intro Episode

Paleo Treats® Podcast Intro Episode

We're pretty damn excited to be launching a podcast for Paleo Treats.

I know, I know, there are plenty of Paleo podcasts out there, why add another one?  I mean, do paleo desserts really warrant a podcast?  :)

Well, what we've found on this 4 year journey in the Paleo world is that we get to meet a LOT of really cool and interesting people, and rather than hoarding all those encounters tight to us and not sharing 'em, we'd start up the podcast as a way to share these conversations with you!

From world class acupuncturists to big wave rescue specialists to modern day adventurers, we've got a great line up for you! This episode develops the idea of following a thread of excellence through the Paleo community by interviewing well known and unknown followers of the Paleo diet. Enjoy the show!

Doug,
Glad you’re digging it! Yes, Arete is and has been a guiding force for us for a while. Thanks for the comments, we’ll look for someone addicted to food (and sugar) to interview for ya!
Cheers!

Men: I am really enjoying your podcast. I hope you can find someone who was addicted to food, so we can be inspired by that. That is one of my huge down falls but I am striving for excellence as you guys talk about.

Speaking of excellence have you guys heard the work Arete? It is Greek for striving for excellence. As Scott Young, scotthyoung.com " Arete is an ancient Greek word meaning excellence or virtue. The arete of something is the highest quality state it can reach. Using arete as a principle for living life means that you are focused on the quality of everything you do and experience. Avoid actions that lack arete. Take actions that focus on arete."

Thought you might enjoy Arete as much as i have since I learned about it in Philosophy class.

Thanks,
Doug
