Meet Scott Mills, a San Francisco chiropractor:
What brought you to eating Paleo/clean?
Learning nutrition in chiropractic college got me thinking about eating better, meeting & marrying Diane Sanfilippo got me actually eating better.
What has been the toughest part?
Eating vegetables and fish. I genuinely dislike them, but eat them because I know I need to.
What has been the easiest part?
Diet by addition. I've added so much whole food variety. People see it as restrictive until you realize processed food is basically corn, wheat, soy and sugar in different packages.
What is the most satisfying part?
Meeting other passionate health conscious entrepreneurs in the community.
What are you going to conquer this year?
300 lbs. Bench Press
What is your best quality?
I'm a natural encourager and have an innate healing touch which is good combination for a chiropractor.
What was the happiest moment of your life?
Realizing Diane Sanfilippo was the one.
One piece of advice to someone starting Paleo?
Make small changes slowly. It took me 2 years to go gluten-free once I realized I was intolerant.
Never leave the house without?
An attitude of gratitude
What is your exercise regime?
3 days/week powerlifting, 2x/week Crossfit, regular dog-walking & hiking
Snack of choice:
Lately, apple + almond butter + Primal Palate apple pie spice blend + finishing salt
Beauty essential:
Sunshine
Skincare ritual:
Shaving...sometimes
